The Plan for Housing <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey is currently a participant in the Livable Communities Act Local <br />Housing Incentives Account Program. As part of this agreement the City of Ramsey <br />adopted the following housing goals in December of 1995 to give direction to the City's <br />affordable and life-cycle housing planning and development efforts, through at least the <br />year 2010. To ensure a balanced supply of housing available for people of all income levels, <br /> ethnicity and physical abilities. <br /> <br />2. To ensure a variety of housing types, styles and sizes (for both single and multi- <br /> family) to meet the life-cycle needs of Ramsey residents. <br /> <br />3. To ensure housing development respects the natural environment. <br /> <br />4. To provide the full range of public services and facilities. <br /> <br />5. To eliminate barriers to the construction of affordable housing units in the <br /> community. <br /> <br />6. To add to and preserve the existing affordable housing supply in the community. <br /> <br />General Housing Policy <br />It is the policy of the City to: <br /> <br />Promote a variety of housing types, costs and ownership options throughout <br />Ramsey to meet the life-cycle needs of all income levels, those with special needs <br />and nontraditional households. <br /> <br />2.
