Marketing Initiatives: The ED~A may Want ito discuss appropriate means of using the MN <br />Report booklets the City has on hand2 ~ ~ <br /> <br />Business Communication Initi~ative~: The Business Connection meeting is scheduled for <br />March 8, 2005. Hope to see all EDA members Present. <br /> <br />EDA Proiects: <br /> <br />Douglas and Gary Hanson (Bakestar Property): Removal of the building at 14040 Azurite <br />Street NW will commence this month and it will conclude on or 'before April 15, 2005. The <br />financial information for the Machine Job Shop interested in developing the site is looking <br />promising and hopefully a deal can be finalized in the next month. <br /> <br />EDA Redevelopment Signs: staff has received phone calls regarding the signs and their <br />meaning. The purpose was explained to the residents and they all thought it was a good idea. It <br />was general curiosity that prompted their calls tO the City. <br /> <br />B & A Cylinder: Staff met with B & A cYlinder on january 12, 2005~ Negotiations have come <br />to an impasse due to the asking price of the property in upwards of One Million dollars. The <br />importance of acquiring this property, can not be minimized due to its proximity to Town Center. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous: <br /> <br />Debee Property: Staff is in contact With: the owner of this parcel and has begun the formal <br />process required by CDBG for acquisition.· The appraisal for the property has come in and <br />calculation for relocation benefits ~is now being conducted. The property will be purchase in the <br />last week of March or the First week °fApril. <br /> <br />Amoco Property: Staff has not been in cOntact.:with the agent for the Old Amoco on Highway <br />47. Since the non-formal acceptance of the Offer from the City We have yet to receive a formal <br />purchase agreement for the property. Staff Will contact the agent, for this property and continue <br />to work toward purchasing this prOperty. <br /> <br />Zero-Zone Refrigeration: On Monday, February 7, 2005 SUPERVALU purchased Total <br />Logistics, Inc. Zero Zone Refrigeration was held by this holding company. Staff is currently in <br />contact with SuperValu and Zero-Zone to finalize a proposed acquisition of the former Spohn <br />Property for a future expansion. <br /> <br />Future Meeting Topics: 1.
