Assistant City Administrator Nelson eXPlained the electronics will be at the staff table, rather than in the podium so it can be more mobile. Assistant City Administrator Nelson indiC;ated a Facilities Committee meeting will be scheduled for March 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. ~ Ms. 13adinger indicated a work session Should be scheduled following the Facilities Committee meeting. Councilmember Elvig noted March 3rd is during the Washington D.C. Delegation. Assistant City Administrator Nelson replied the meeting will be rescheduled. Ms. Badinger reviewed the proposals received for the Commissioning Agent from the companies of l-lallbcrg Engineering and Karges-FaulConbridge. She stated she has personally worked with both of the companies and theY are both; fully qualified to perform the Commissioning Agent duties; the basic difference in the proposals is in the hours allocated to each phase of the project. Mayor Gamec asked if there is a recommendation on the preferred company. Ms. Badinger replied both companies are equally qualified and she has had a very good experience with both of them. The proposal from Karges-Faulconbridge includes ten more hours, and based on the savings in hours the'Council may want to proceed with Hallberg Engineering. Assistant City Administrator Nelson indicated staff is comfortable with both companies. Given that both companies are equa!;players, i staff Would recommend proceeding with HaIlberg Engineering and saving $2,000. She indicated 'the contracts for security, technology, and radio fi'equency design services are on the agenda of the regular Council meeting. Staff and the consultants can answer any questions regarding these contracts. FUTURE TOPICS Mayor Gamec stated the list of Future ToPicS is growing tremendously. He inquired if any of the topics should be turned over to cOmmittees:to review. City Administrator Norman replied the focus for the last couple of months has been to get through the first amendment to the Ramsey Town Center Master Development Agreement. Staff and the Council may be able to work throtigh the list of future topics in an evening or two.
