NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />At the next meeting, a representative o! £;entrat Dispatch for the County will be present to talk <br />about radio protocol. <br /> <br />Chief Hoeke presented a letter that w~ sent to dispatch stating that Ramsey will be available to <br />assist Anoka and Elk River in grass f/'es starting August 1, 1989. <br /> <br />The City automobile #701 will be available for transportation to and from any grass fires. <br /> <br />All Fire Department vehicles requiring fuel are to be refueled at Food & Fuel on Highway 47. A <br />signed receipt should be put into the glove compartment. <br /> <br />A report on the live burn in St. Francis was given by all who participated. It was felt to be very <br />beneficial. <br /> <br />Chief Hoeke passed out the Ramsey Fire Fighter Oath: <br /> <br /> "On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country, to respect <br /> others' rights and opinions and to protect life and property." <br /> <br />The Oath acceptance was motioned by Eugene Workman and seconded by Joel Drahos. Voting Yes: <br />All present. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Chief Hoeke read off the proposed budget for 1990 and the items incorporated into the total <br />figure. <br /> <br />East Bethel Annual Volunteer Fire Fighters Dance will be held at Booster Park in East Bethel. <br />The cost is $2.00 per person. <br /> <br />Chief Hoeke is going to present to the Fire Board that 50% of the money being used for <br />protection by Elk River Fire Department be applied to the Ramsey Fire Fighters Retirement <br />Association. The 50% figure was motioned by Jay Guimont and seconded by Bruce Bachler. <br />Voting Yes: All present. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />The Committee for the Retirement Association will meet immediately after tonight's Department <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Wind breakers and t-shirts can now be ordered from Jay Guimont. Alt those interested should <br />place their orders as soon as possible, <br /> <br />The softball tournament committee is still seeking additional teams to participate, <br /> <br />The Map Committee will meet next Wednesday to begin construction on the map board. <br /> <br />The remodeling for the new quarters will begin the week of July 15th, <br /> <br />VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT/JULY 12, <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />1989 <br /> <br /> <br />
