Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-090 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE TEMPORARY NON -BENEFIT ELIGIBLE AFSCME PUBLIC <br />WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKERS <br />WHEREAS, annually the City employs temporary non -benefit eligible AFSCME Public <br />Works Maintenance Workers; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff selected two qualified candidates; and <br />WHEREAS, both candidates have passed the pre -employment screenings; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends hiring the 2019 temporary non -benefit eligible employees <br />to work up to seven months. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution 419-090 to hire the following employees on or near the dates <br />listed below: <br />Michael Breiter to work in the Parks Division at $17.89 per hour, effective on or near April <br />24, 2019, and Tom Marks to work in the Utilities Division at $17.89 per hour, effective on <br />or near April 3, 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Heinrich <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
