CC Work Session 2. 1.
Meeting Date: 04/09/2019
Information
Title:
Discuss Updates on Interim Public Works Facility Options.
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is to update the Council on staff recommendation for an interim Public Works facility
solution. Two cases on tonight's regular agenda will facilitate this solution. First, new storage options are available
if the City cancels the lease for PACT School Bus storage in property that it currently owns at 6701 Hwy 10
(garage space behind the Youth First office). This item, and a case authorizing staff to begin negotiations for the
purchase of property located at 8175 Riverdale Drive (former Quality RV), would adequatly serve the short-term
needs of the Public Works until a new Public Works Campus is constructed. The initial investment, improvements
required to the property for Utility Department use, and the ease of resale are factors with this location.
Please see cases on the regular agenda for additional information.
Timeframe:
5 minutes
Funding Source:
N/A
Responsible Party(ies):
Outcome:
Update council on new staff recommendation for interim Public Works facility and new storage options at 6701
Hwy 10. Staff will be asking Council for action on both of these topics on tonight's regular Council meeting
agenda. If the Council is uncomfortable moving forward with either of these cases at this time, it is recommended
that they be removed from the agenda without action.
No files) attached.
Attachments
Form Review
Inbox Reviewed By Date
Kurt Ulrich Kurt Ulrich 04/04/2019 04:42 PM
Form Started By: Grant Riemer Started On: 04/03/2019 09:09 AM
Final Approval Date: 04/04/2019
