Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-088 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A PUBLIC WORKS STREETS MAINTENANCE <br />WORKER <br />WHEREAS, the City Council authorized funding for a Public Works Streets <br />Maintenance Worker position; and <br />WHEREAS, an external recruitment process was conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Vaughn Ihkre has been selected as the top candidate for the <br />position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff have completed the necessary background checks and are <br />recommending that Mr. Vaughn Ihkre be hired as a full-time Public Works Streets <br />Maintenance Worker, effective on or near April 24, 2019 at $22.37 per hour; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Ihkre will be subject to a 6-month probationary period; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Ihkre will be subject to the terms of the applicable labor <br />agreement and the City's Personnel Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #19-088 to hire Mr. Vaughn Ihkre as a full-time <br />Public Works Streets Maintenance Worker, effective on or near April 24, <br />2019, at $22.37 per hour, which is step 1 of the 2019 wage scale. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
