Motion by Commissioner Shryock, Seconded by Commissioner Ostrum to approve the meeting <br />minutes from May 8, June 12 and June 25, 2003 as corrected. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Shryock, Ostrum, LaMere, <br />Lehman and Olds. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Rolfe. <br /> <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Town Center <br /> <br />Ms. Deborah Bartels stated her company would like the Commission’s feedback on the proposed <br />Parks. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns noted from their last meeting they were going to prioritize what they wanted <br />for the parks and bring the ideas back to this meeting. <br /> <br />Ms. Bartels stated that was wonderful and she would take their information and compiled it into <br />the plans and then bring it back to the Commission at the next meeting for more feedback. <br /> <br /> <br />Review Town Center Park Comments <br /> <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained the priority improvements are important to find out <br />what fits and what does not fit. <br /> <br />Ms. Bartels explained the Planning Commission and City Council approved the Town District <br />Zoning and they were hoping the final Preliminary Plat approval would be approved by the end of <br />September so they can start digging this fall. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds asked if the waterways would be developed with water in them. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns stated she hoped they would. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds asked if the holes would have water in them, where would the water come <br />from. <br /> <br />Ms. Bartels explained that is a problem and they have discussed that they would either need to <br />line it or add clay to it. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock expressed there should be permanent water in the downtown area. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds stated once the grading starts and if they want permanent water features, they <br />will need to take those into consideration now. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/July 30, 2003 <br />Page 2 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
