Absent: None. <br /> <br />Economic Development/TIF Specialist SulliVan indicated he will speak to the landowners of <br />locations 3 and 4 to determine their willingnCsstopartieipate in the sign placement. <br /> <br />The EDA discussed the language and the material!on the signs. Economic Development/TIF <br />Specialist Sullivan presented sampies of signs ~for the EDA to review. He advised it is <br />recommended to include caps on the top °fihe Signs to protect them from the elements. The <br />EDA further discussed City of RarnSey signs being Preferable to business park monument signs, <br />and that the location for these signs wouid be; at entrance points to the City. <br /> <br />Motion by Member Elvig to direct staffto have a City of Ramsey sign priced and placed on <br />location 2 and to research the possibility °f~ing TIF fimds outside of the TIF district near <br />locations 3 and 4 on Highway 10. If the TIF~funds can be used on Highway 10 staff should <br />research placement of the signs in locations 3 and 4. <br /> <br />There was further discussion. Member Elvig withdrew the motion on the floor. <br /> <br />Motion by Member Gromberg, seconded bY Member Elvig, to authorize staff to staff to proceed <br />with placement of a City of RamseY sign on ,locatign 2, to determine if TIF funds can be used for <br />signs along Highway 10, and to research lhow signs:along Highway 10 can be funded. <br /> <br />Member LeTourneau inquired if there will be a final review of the signs by the EDA before sign <br />placement. Economic DevelopmenffTIF SPeeialiStSullivan replied the estimate was $9,400 per <br />sign and he will bring the finalized quote hack to the EDA. <br /> <br />Member Steffen suggested there might be a benefit:to the sign material matching the proposed <br />City Hall. Member Elvig suggested brick be usedon the signs, as the column features on City <br />Hall will be brick. Economic DevelopmenffTIF SPecialist Sullivan noted the Assistant City <br />Administrator has information about the material on City Hall. <br /> <br />The consensus of the EDA was to direct Economic Development/TIF Specialist Sullivan to <br />coordinate with the Assistant City Administrator regarding the material for the signs and to bring <br />the information back to the EDA. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
