Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-097 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT NO. 1 FOR RIVERDALE <br />DRIVE TRUNK UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #18-14 <br />WHEREAS, undeveloped properties west of Armstrong Boulevard and south of <br />Highway 10 are within the City's Municipal Urban Services Area and will require municipal <br />utilities to develop; and <br />WHEREAS, trunk sanitary sewer and watermain stubs existed at the intersection of old <br />Armstrong Boulevard and Riverdale Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, Lazydays RV is constructing a new maintenance facility south of <br />Riverdale Drive and east of Llama Street that must be served by municipal utilities; and <br />WHEREAS, Lazydays RV plans to open the maintenance facility in May of 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Development Agreement, Lazydays engineer, <br />Civil Site Group, prepared plans and specifications for constructing trunk utilities south of <br />Riverdale Drive from Armstrong Boulevard to Llama Street as City Improvement Project 918- <br />14, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution 918-246, adopted December <br />11, 2018, the City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized <br />advertisements for bids for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald and m Finance and <br />Commerce on December 14 and 21, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, eleven bids were received, opened, and tabulated on February 5, 2019, <br />and were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution 919-049, adopted February <br />12, 2019, the bid of Kuechle Underground, Inc. of Kimball, Minnesota, in the amount of <br />$607,144.11 for construction of said improvements was accepted, and the Mayor and City <br />Administrator were authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the <br />construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey; and <br />WHEREAS, to facilitate construction, Change Order 91 in the amount of $14,044 <br />allows for the installation of 200 linear feet of 18" sanitary sewer at depths between 16 and 20 <br />feet at an agreed upon price of $150 per linear foot, and allows 13 additional trees to be cleared <br />and grubbed at an agreed upon price of $128 per tree; and <br />
