Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-091 <br />RESOLUTION HIRING SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKERS <br />AND TEMPORARY INTERNS <br />WHEREAS, annually the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to <br />perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions of Public Works and Interns to work in <br />Administrative Services, Community Development, and Engineering; and <br />and <br />WHEREAS, staff selected two qualified seasonal candidates and two qualified interns; <br />WHEREAS, all candidates have passed the pre -employment screenings; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends hiring the 2019 Seasonal Public Works Maintenance <br />Workers and Temporary Interns. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution 419-091 to hire the following employees on or near the dates <br />listed below: <br />Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers: James Kroll, effective April 29, 2019 at <br />$11.00 per hour; and Jerry Hutchinson, effective April 24, 2019 at $11.25 per hour; and <br />Temporary Interns: Administrative Intern, Jay Elmquist, effective, May 13, 2019 at <br />$13.00 per hour; and Planning Intern, Elliot Mohler, effective May 20, 2019 at $14.00 <br />per hour. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Heinrich <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />Councilmember Riley <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
