Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if they are required to extend both sewer and water would <br />it be contrary to the City's Charter Amendment. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that they would not be required to hook-up to both services, but both <br />would be installed. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski noted that in the case of the mobile home park the sewer goes in the <br />back of the property and water goes in the front of the property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson inquired if sewer charges were based on water usage. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that single-family residential customers are charged a flat fee <br />for sewer based on the average water use, but where they have commercial, industrial or multi- <br />family than it is based on water usage. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to recommend that the <br />City Council adopt the policy on the connection of properties to the City sewer and water <br />utilities. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Elvig, Kurak, Cook, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman.
