Chalk for Kindness Day. Yesterday, June 12, the City hosted it's first- ever Chalk for Kindness Day. The community was encouraged to write kind messages and draw uplifting images using sidewalk chalk on their driveways, on public sidewalks or in City parks. The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive and we had several families participate and share their kind messages to our City of Ramsey Facebook page. Save the Date: • Ramsey Parks& Recreation Events—Tonight kicks off the 2019 Draw Summer Concert Series! Grab a chair and come out for a night of music in the park. Attached to the Weekly Update is a Connexus Energy Everything Under the Sun flyer. • Paper Shredding Events - The City of Ramsey is partnering with the City of Anoka to provide additional opportunities for residents to securely recycle papers with sensitive information. While paper shredding will still be available during the City's Summer and Fall Recycling Day events(July 27 and September 28),there will be multiple, stand-alone paper shredding events as well! Ramsey is hosting a free paper-shredding event from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, June 15,at the Public Works Campus, 14100 Jaspar Street NW.
