Councilmember Heinrich introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-113 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #19-01, FORD BROOK ESTATES STREET <br />RECONSTRUCTION <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 418-175, adopted August 28, <br />2018, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed <br />improvements to approximately 0.16 miles of streets within the Ford Brook Estates development <br />including 180th Lane from Highway 47/Saint Francis Boulevard to Krypton Street, and Krypton <br />Street from 180th Lane to its termini cul-de-sac, including the reconstruction of streets and other <br />appurtenant work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 418-219, adopted October <br />23, 2018, the Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered <br />for November 13, 2018 at 7 p.m., where the City Council will consider the proposed <br />improvements for said streets in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and <br />WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed up to 25-percent of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City <br />Charter, and the City's Special Assessments Policy; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvements as required by law; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 418-229, adopted November <br />13, 2018, the City Council conducted a Public Hearing, approved the Feasibility Report, and <br />ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br />improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 419-079, adopted March 26, <br />2019, the City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for <br />bids for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald and in Finance and <br />Commerce on March 29 and April 5, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on May 1, 2019, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br />RESOLUTION #19-113 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
