Annually, <br />the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities <br />Divisions of Public Works. At this time, staff selected six seasonal candidates to work in the Public Works <br />Department. <br />Seasonal Public Works Maitenance workers provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings, <br />and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer, and possibly fall months. This also includes <br />mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or working on landscape projects; maintaining athletic fields; <br />picking up trash; street maintenance; and utilities maintenance. <br />Funding Source: <br />The funding required to fill these positions is included within the approved 2019 budget. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends hiring the following Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers on or near the dates listed: <br />Tanner McIntire -Linder, effective May 13, 2019 at $11.25 per hour; Mitchel Barr, effective May 14, 2019 at <br />$11.00 per hour; Bradley Beaver, effective May 15, 2019 at $11.75 per hour; Gunner Ledin, effective May 15, <br />2019 at $11.75 per hour; Carter Perry, effective May 20, 2019 at $11.00 per hour; and Nathaniel Gfroerer, effective <br />June 10, 2019 at $11.00 per hour. <br />Action: <br />Motion to adopt resolution #19-106 to hire the following employees on or near the dates listed below: <br />Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers: Tanner McIntire -Linder, effective May 13, 2019 at $11.25 per hour; <br />Mitchel Barr, effective May 14, 2019 at $11.00 per hour; Bradley Beaver, effective May 15, 2019 at $11.75 per <br />hour; Gunner Ledin, effective May 15, 2019 at $11.75 per hour; Carter Perry, effective May 20, 2019 at $11.00 per <br />hour; and Nathaniel Gfroerer, effective June 10, 2019 at $11.00 per hour. <br />Attachments <br />Resolution 19-106 <br />Job Description <br />
