Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-135 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br />ADVERTISEMENTS FOR BIDS FOR 2019 CRACKSEALING IMPROVEMENTS, <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #19-00 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted a budget for 2019 including $500,000 to <br />crackseal and sealcoat various public streets as part of the City's annual Street Maintenance <br />Program; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 21, 2019, the City of Ramsey's Public Works Committee <br />recommended that the City Council suspend the City's annual sealcoating program for one year to <br />allow for further observation of previously sealcoated City streets, and to research the practices <br />and findings of other cities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of <br />advertising for bids for 2019 cracksealing improvements. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The City Council hereby approves final plans and specifications as prepared by the City <br />Engineer with reference to the 2019 Cracksealing Improvements, Improvement Project <br />419-00, and authorizes the advertisement of bids for the same improvements. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Heinrich <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />Existing Vacancy <br />Existing Vacancy <br />
