Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-134 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A PUBLIC WORKS STREETS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br />BACKFILLING A VACANT POSITION <br />WHEREAS, there is a current vacancy in the Public Works; and <br />WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Michael Breiter has been selected as the top candidate for the position; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Staff completed the necessary background checks and are recommending <br />that Mr. Michael Breiter be hired as a full-time Public Works Streets Maintenance Worker, <br />effective on or near June 12, 2019 at $22.37 per hour; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Breiter will be subject to a 6-month probationary period; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Breiter will be subject to the terms of the applicable labor agreement and <br />the City's Personnel Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution 419-134 to hire Mr. Michael Breiter as a full-time Public Works <br />Streets Maintenance Worker, effective on or near June 12, 2019, at $22.37 per hour, which <br />is step 1 of the 2019 wage scale. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Heinrich, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Heinrich <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />Councilmember Riley <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
