This created the possibility for
both the residential and commercial/industrial sectors to lawfully install solar energy systems if
they so desired. In 2017, Ramsey amended its Zoning Code again to identify solar energy systems
as a principal use with the issuance of a Conditional Use Permit within the Public/Quasi-Public
zoning district.
Figure 5: Gross Solar Potential
Extent of Main Map
I'ENNE'IN _'1-1-=7-71A,SF&ING; N
—DAICOTA
rr-
city of RAMSEY
❑.5
Mlrs
Gross Solar Potential
(Watt-hours per Year)
- High : 1266355
Low : 900001
Solar Potential under 900.000 watt-hours per year
County Boundaries
L___. j City and Township Boundaries
~lands and Open Water Features
Source: University of Minnesota U-Spatial Statewide Solar Raster.
Comprehensive Plan 2040
