Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-172 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO CHANGE ORDER #1, APPROVING <br />CHANGE ORDER #3, AND AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT #3 TO KUECHLE <br />UNDERGROUND, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #18-14, RIVERDALE <br />DRIVE TRUNK UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS. <br />WHEREAS, undeveloped properties west of Armstrong Boulevard and south of <br />Highway 10 are within the City's Municipal Urban Services Area and will require municipal <br />utilities to develop; and <br />WHEREAS, trunk sanitary sewer and watermain stubs existed at the intersection of old <br />Armstrong Boulevard and Riverdale Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, Lazydays RV is constructing a new maintenance facility south of Riverdale <br />Drive and east of Llama Street that must be served by municipal utilities; and <br />WHEREAS, Lazydays RV planned to open the maintenance facility in May of 2019; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Development Agreement, Lazydays engineer, Civil <br />Site Group, prepared plans and specifications for constructing trunk utilities south of Riverdale <br />Drive from Armstrong Boulevard to Llama Street as City Improvement Project 918-14, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution 918-246, adopted December <br />11, 2018, the City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisements <br />for bids for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald and m Finance and <br />Commerce on December 14 and 21, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, eleven bids were received, opened, and tabulated on February 5, 2019, and <br />were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution 919-049, adopted February <br />12, 2019, the bid of Kuechle Underground, Inc. of Kimball, Minnesota, in the amount of <br />$607,144.11 for construction of said improvements was accepted, and the Mayor and City <br />Administrator were authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the <br />construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey; and <br />
