Councihnember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />~RESOLUTION #04-12-367 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO NOT WAIVE STATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR LMCIT <br />LIABILITY COVERAGE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the impacts of waiving and not-waiving statutory <br />tort limits for liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been past practice for the City of Ramsey to not waive the statutory <br />tort limits roi' liability coverage with LMCiT.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff is recOmmending that the City Council not waive the statutory tort <br />limits for liability insurance with LMCIT. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does not waive the statutory tort limits for <br />LMCIT liability coverage. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />Kurak <br />Pearson <br />Cook <br />Elvig <br />Zimmerman <br /> <br />and thc following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and thc Following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br /> <br />
