Cotmci lmcmber Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #04-12-378 RESOI,UTION APPROVING 2005 DEPARTMENT REORGANIZATIONS WHEREAS, the City Administrator and department heads have been reviewing departmental organizational structures; and WHEREAS, several changes have been proposed and discussed with the City Council; and WItEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its December 14, 2004 meeting agreed with staff's recommendation to adopt several departmental organizational changes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT REsoLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE oF MINNESOTA, l) The City Council of the City of Ramsey Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to adopt the folloWing organizational changes: Create a Utilities Division by moving two Maintenance Workers from their current division(s) to the newly created Utilities Division. Create a part-time :Fire Secretary position. Prmnote the current Fire Inspector to Fire Marshall Promote the current Assistant Community Development Director to Director and reclassify the current Community Development Director to Assistant Community Development Director/HRA Executive Director. Move the TIF Specialist form the Finance Department to the Community Development Department. Create an Assistant Finance Officer position as the "second in command" within the department. The motion f'or thc adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmember Cook Councilmember Kurak Counci hnember Elvig Counci hnember Pearson Councihnember Zimmerman and thc following voted against the same: None
