Councilmember Cook introdUCed the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-12-385 <br /> <br />RESOLTUION AUTHORIZING A COLA FOR NON-UNION EMPLOYEES FOR 2005 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is committed to attracting and retaining quality <br />cmployees to serve the communitY; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, maintaining a competitive pay scale is essential to effectively compete for <br />quality employees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends that for 2005 the City Council adopts the same 3% <br />COLA for regular, non-union employees that has been approved for AFSCME and LELS-Patrol <br />members. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopts a 3% COLA for 2005 for regular, <br />non-union employees effective January 1, 2005. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councihnember Cook <br />Counci hnember Kurak <br />Councihnember Elvig <br />Counci imember Pearson <br />Counci hnember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and thc following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the f'ollowing abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Counci hnember Strommen <br /> <br /> <br />
