Councihnember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION//05-02-047 <br /> <br />RESOLUTOIN CONSIDERiNG AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE PUBLIC WORKS <br />PARKS MAINTENANCE WORKERS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as part of the 2005 budget, council authorized the creation of two Public <br />Works Parks Maintenance Worker pOsitiOns; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On December 14, 2004 staff received Council authorization to recruit for <br />two ?ublic Works Parks Maintenance Workers; 'and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff conducted an internal recruitment and two applications were received; <br />intcrviews were conducted. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee t°do the follOwing: <br /> <br /> Grant authorization to staff to hire Todd Nelson to the position of Public Works Parks <br /> Maintenance Worker at an hourly wage not to exceed $16.51. Todd Nelson will begin <br /> employment on or after February 9, 2005. <br /> <br />Thc motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cook, and upon vote being taken thereon, ,the fo[lowing voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councihnember Strommen <br /> <br />and thc following voted against the same: <br /> <br />NOBC <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
