Counci hnember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-02-048 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />LELS <br /> <br />APPROVING CONTRACT WITH RAMSEY POLICE SERGEANTS- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Police Sergeants filed with the Bureau of Mediation Services <br />in July of 2004 to organize as a bargaining unit With LELS; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has been in negotiations with the sergeants group since that time to <br />establish a one-year contract; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has reached agreement with the sergeants regarding a new contract. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF'MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to do the folloWing: <br /> <br />Approve the contract with the LELS-Sergeants, including a wage adjustment from $26.32 <br />- $32.90 per hour to: $ 26.64 -$ 33.29 per hour, and a contribution of up to $380.17 for <br />the 100% plan or $352.09 for the 90/10% plan toward the cost of single health insurance <br />coverage for LELS-Sergeants employees and provide a contribution of $630.00 toward <br />thc cost of family health insurance coverage for eligible LELS-Sergeants employees. <br /> <br />Thc motion roi' the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cook, and upon vote being taken thereon, the follOwing voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Counci Imember Elvig <br />Counci lmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmcmber Olson <br />Counci Imember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br /> <br />
