Councilmember Cook introduced the followingresolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #05-02-058 CONSIDER RECLASSIFICATION OF FIRE INSPECTOR POSITION AND PAY SCAI,E FOR FIRE MARSHAL PosITION WHEREAS, staffdiscussed with Council during the 2005 budget process the need to evaluate several job descriptions for city positions and included funds in the 2005 budget for potcntial pay scale adjustments; and WHEREAS, staff previously completed the review of all job descriptions with the exception of the Fire Marshal position; and WIIEREAS, staff has since completed the study of the Fire Marshal position; and WHEREAS, staff has evaluated the job description for points associated with pay equity, comparable pay scale in the Stanton Group Six Cities Report, and relational pay within the City of Ramsey organization; and WHEREAS, the proposed pay scale adjustment is within the collective $7500 budgeted for this purpose in the 2005 budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, 1 ) Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: · Authorize the reclassification of the Fire Inspector position to Fire Marshal. · Authorize the pay scale for the folloWing position: POSITION Fire Marshal Cq ~I~RENT RANGE OF FIRE INSPECTOR $21.91 $27.38 per hour PROPOSED RANGE OF FIRE MARSHAL $23.46 - $30.50 per hour Thc motion for thc adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember OIson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi Mayor Gamec Councilmember Cook Councilmember Olson Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Jeffrey Councilmember Pearson Co uncilmember Strommen
