Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #05-02-059 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE 2005 HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRIBUTION FOR LELS PATROL WHEREAS, the city has negotiated the 2005 health insurance contribution with the representatives of the LELS Patrol bargaining unit; and WHEREAS, the bargairt!ng unit members accepted the city's offer for health insurance contribution on February 22, 2005; and WHEREAS, staff is requesting the use of Council Contingency funds to cover the gap in funds budgeted for this purpose and the cost of the proposed contribution. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1 ) City Council of the City °fRamsey authorizes a city contribution of $380.17 (100% plan) or $352.09 (90/10% plan) (depending on the plan selected) for single health insurance coverage and a contribution of $630.00 for family coverage and that those employees who currently waive health insurance and receive $290.00 per month shall continue to receive that payment for 2005 and that the 2005 contribution is retro-active to 01/01/2005 for LELS Patrol bargaining trait members. 2) The City Council of the City of RamseY authorizes the use of Council Contingency fimds in an amount of $18,000.00 for the additional cost of the city's contribution to health insurance for 2005 for all benefit eligible city staff. Thc motion for the adoption of the foregOing resolution was duly seconded by Councihnember Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Cook Councilmember Olson Counci hnember Elvig Councilmember Jeffrey Councilmember Pearson Councilmember Strommen and the following voted against the same: No~le and the following abstained: None
