Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-128 <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL GENERAL <br />ELECTION ON AUGUST 13, 2019 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Special General Election on <br />Tuesday, August 13, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 20413.21, election judges for <br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and <br />WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $10.00 for election judge trainees, $10.00 for <br />regular election judges and $11.00 for chairs. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Special <br />General Election to be held on August 13, 2019: <br />Bruce Anderson, Linda Anderson, Robert Anderson, Mark Barrett, Jerilyn Bates, Billie <br />Jo Bishop, Isaac Bishop, Julia Bishop, Donna Brauer, Janet Cameron, Paula Chicoine, <br />Sarah Cooper, Richard (Scott) Cords, Darlene Croteu, Patricia Dusbabek, Tim Dusbabek, <br />Kevin Efram, Michele Elifrist, J. Todd Embury, Barney (Lee) Freshour, Sylvia Frolik, <br />Colleen Graber, Timothy Graber, Andrea Herrmann, Vicki Herrmann, Andrea Hillebregt, <br />Andy Hillebregt, A.C. (Del) Howe III, Margaret (Peggy) Howe, Lana Howell, Tom <br />Hoxter, Sue Hurd, Bruce Johnson, Carol Kociscak, William Kociscak, Deb Koepsell, <br />Michele Larkin, Sheila Lemke, Cyndi Lemmon, Pat Maxey, David May, Madeline (Kay) <br />McCulley, Roger McCulley, Patricia McGrath, Makayla Miller, David Newton, Ione <br />Olson, Judith Olson, Diana Pennington, Alice Rasmussen, Al Resler, Stephen Rothstein, <br />Derek Scheuermann, Katie Schmidt, LaVonne Suckow, and Megan Warner. <br />2) That Council authorize staff to train and hire additional election judges not named here <br />should the need arise. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Heinrich, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Heinrich <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />Councilmember Riley <br />
