CC Work Session 2. 1. <br />Meeting Date: 08/27/2019 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Review of Construction Managers for Public Work Facility <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this case is to interview what city staff feels are the top 3 candidates to provide construction <br />management service for the new Public Works Garage. <br />Background: <br />On June 19, city staff issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for construction management services for the new <br />Public Works Garage. To be considered for the project interested firms were required to attend a pre -proposal <br />meeting on July 10. Ten firms were in attendance at the meeting. Following that meeting we revised our RFP to <br />clarify some language and reissued the revised addition, plus addendum # 1. The deadline for final submittals was <br />4:00 PM on August 9. At that time we received seven proposals. <br />The City Administrator, City Engineer and the Public Works Superintendent met on Aug. 19 to vet and rank the 7 <br />proposals that we had received. The top 3 firms selected after that process were RJM construction, <br />Krause -Anderson Construction and Bradbury Stamm Construction. <br />The final criteria for selection was based on experience in public works maintenance facility projects, construction <br />time line, and estimated cost. <br />Timeframe: <br />90 Minutes Total: Each firm will have 20 minutes to make their presentation, with remaining time used for <br />questions and council/staff discussion. <br />Funding Source: <br />Public Improvement Revolving Fund (9412-6315) <br />Responsible Party(ies): <br />Grant Riemer <br />Outcome: <br />To reach consensus regarding the top candidate for construction management services for the new PW maintenance <br />facility based on council and staff discussion, with final consideration at the September 10 council meeting. <br />Krause -Anderson CM RFP <br />RJM Const.
