DEMOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS <br />Introduction <br />This section of the report examines factors related to the current and future demand for <br />owner- and renter -occupied housing units in Ramsey, Minnesota. It includes an analysis of pop- <br />ulation and household growth trends and projections, projected age distribution, household <br />size, household incomes, net worth, household tenure, household type, diversity, and mobility <br />trends. A review of these characteristics provides insight into the demand for various types of <br />housing in the City of Ramsey. <br />Population and Household Growth Trends and Projections <br />Table D-1 presents population and household growth trends and projections from 1990 to <br />2040. The 1990 to 2010 data is from the U.S. Census. Estimate and projection data is calcu- <br />lated from the Metropolitan Council; ESRI (a national demographics service provider); with ad- <br />justments calculated by Maxfield Research and Consulting LLC.
