A variety of tools can be used to establish ongoing, meaningful relationships with the <br />communities cities serve. They could include: <br />• Public meetings, workshops and office hours in the community <br />• Creating ongoing or project -based steering committees with community members <br />and/or public stakeholder groups <br />• Appointment of community members to established planning or decision -making <br />committees <br />• Plan updates, meeting reminders and other key information posted on the city's <br />website and distributed via email <br />This guide does not purport to contain the best or most appropriate ways to engage with <br />the community.
