Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #19-219 RESOLUTION APPROVING ENGINEERING PROPOSALS FOR TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY AND GEOTECHNICAL REPORT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #20-01, VARIOLITE STREET RECONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct Variolite Street between Alpine Drive and 173rd Avenue in the year 2020; and WHEREAS, in order to prepare plans and specifications for said improvements, topographic survey work and geotechnical work will be required; and WHEREAS, City Staff requested proposals from Engineering consultants for said topographic survey and geotechnical work; and WHEREAS, a total of three proposals were received in response to the Request for Proposals for topographic survey and Staff recommends approving the proposal from Hakanson Anderson and Associates in the amount of $12,800; and WHEREAS, a total of two proposals were received in response to the Request for Proposals for geotechnical work and Staff recommends approving the proposal from Northern Technologies Inc. in the amount of $29,750. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves of and authorizes Staff to execute the proposal from Hakanson Anderson and Associates for the requested topographic survey in the amount of $12,800. 2. That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves of and authorizes Staff to execute the proposal from Northern Technologies Inc. for the requested geotechnical work in the amount of $29,750.
