CITY COUNCIL WORK sEsSION <br />Topic Report: Sign Policy ~ <br />By: Dean Kapler/DireCtor °fPublic ~Works <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Prior to the 2004 election seasOn, staff discussed with council the anticipated handling of <br />campaign signs within the t4.'ght~of-way..: ~Aipolicy was created and followed for the <br />campaign season, although:Council~ direCted!staff to follow up to include all signs in <br />right-of-ways and to review ~the sign ordinance. Staff met on-March 9, 2005, for a <br />preliminary discussion of sign placement issfles. Staff agreed to research neighboring <br />communities to compile their :Ways of dealin§ with temporary signs. Staff will continUe <br />to meet as necessary.
