COLIllCi hncmber Elvig suggested a lnobile podium to provide flexibility, as the space will be used <br />f'Ol-many different presentations. He stressed the importance of graphics with the new monitor. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson eXplained the electronics wi, ll be at the staff table, rather <br />than in the podium so it can be more mobile. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nel%n indicated a 7acilitics Committee meeting will be scheduled <br />t'or March 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Ms. Badinger indicated a work session should be scheduled following the Facilities Committee <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig noted MarCh 3''d is during the Washington D.C. Delegation. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson replied the meeting will be rescheduled. <br /> <br />Ms. Badinger reviewed the proposals received for the Commissioning Agent from the companies <br />of H allberg Engineering and Karges-Faulconbridge. She stated she has personally worked with <br />both of the companies and they are both fully qualified to perform the Commissioning Agent <br />duties; the basic difference in the lproposals is in lthe hours allocated to each phase of the project. <br /> <br />Mayor Gmnec asked if there is a recommendation on the preferred company. <br /> <br />Ms. Badinger replied both companies are equally qualified and she has had a very good <br />experience with both of them. Tl~e proPoSal from Karges-Faulconbridge includes ten more <br />hours, and based on the savings in hours the :Council may want to proceed with Hallberg <br />Engineering. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson indicated staff is comfortable with both companies. Given <br />that both companies are equal players, :staff would recommend proceeding with Hallberg <br />Engineering and saving $2,000. She indicated the contracts for security, technology, and radio <br />frequency design services are on the agenda of the regular Council meeting. Staff and the <br />consultants can answer any questions regarding these contracts. <br /> <br />FUTURE TOPICS <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated the list of Future TOpics is growing tremendously. He inquired if any of the <br />topics should be turned over to committees to review. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied the focus for the last couple of months has been to get <br />through the first amendment to the Ramsey Town Center Master Development Agreement. Staff <br />and thc Council may be able to work through the list of future topics in an evening or two.
