CC Work Session 2. 3. <br />Meeting Date: 09/10/2019 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Discussion Regarding Processes and Procedures for Council Meetings <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: To review the issue of public input at meetings, review the process for making revisions to meeting <br />minutes, and review the process for changing the agenda prior to the meetings. Staff and the City Attorney will be <br />prepared to discuss these matters. <br />In addition to topics above, with regard to meeting minutes, the City contracts with TimeSavers for minute taking. <br />TimeSavers has proven to be an efficient and cost effective service to the City. Meeting minutes are available as <br />"near verbatim, summary, or executive" style, each with an associated cost. The city currently receives summary <br />style minutes. Summary style minutes include introduction of the topic, a summary of discussion, and the motion. <br />If the City Council desires to increase the level of detail provided in the minutes staff, will inquire about the <br />additional funding needed. <br />Attachments include the City of Ramsey's Meeting Comment Card, the applicable Charter language related to <br />public comment, and the Ramsey Code, Article II - City Council <br />Timeframe: <br />Up to 30 minutes <br />Funding Source: <br />Not applicable. <br />Responsible Party(ies): <br />Colleen Lasher, Administrative Services Director <br />Outcome: <br />Based on discussion. <br />Charter Sec 3.1 Council Meetings <br />City Council Comment Card <br />Ramsey Code Art.
