<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #19-204 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER 17 – 23, 2019 AS CONSTITUTION WEEK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />September 17, 2019, marks the two hundred thirty-second anniversary of <br />the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional <br />Convention; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> it is fitting and proper to accord official recognition to this magnificent <br />document and its memorable anniversary, and to the patriotic celebrations which will <br />commemorate the occasion; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />Public Law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each year by the <br />President of the United States of America designating September 17 through 23 as Constitution <br />Week. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby proclaims the week of September 17 <br />CONSTITUTION WEEK. <br />through 23, 2019, as <br /> <br />2) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey asks its citizens to reaffirm the ideals of the <br />Framers of the Constitution by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through <br />this guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be gained. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Heinrich, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Heinrich <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />
