<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #19-189 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A PART-TIME RECREATION SPECIALIST FILLING THE <br />VACANT POSITION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> there is a part-time Recreation Specialist vacancy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> a recruitment process was conducted; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> Ms. Abigail Proulx has been selected as the top candidate for the position; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> staff has completed the necessary background checks and are recommending <br />that Ms. Abigail Proulx be hired as a part-time Recreation Specialist, effective on or near Monday, <br />August 19, 2019 at $21.34 per hour; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, Ms. Abigail Proulx will be subject to a 6-month probationary period; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, Ms. Abigail Proulx will be subject to the terms of the applicable labor <br />agreement and the City’s Personnel Policy and AFSCME union contract. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #19-189 to hire Ms. Abigail Proulx as a part-time Recreation <br />Specialist, effective on or near August 19, 2019 at $21.34 per hour, which is step 1 of the <br />2019 wage scale. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Heinrich <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />
