<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #19-232 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING WELLHEAD PROTECTION PLAN PART 2 <br />AMENDMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, t <br />he Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is charged with protecting <br />drinking water sources throughout Minnesota per Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4720, Public Water <br />Supplies, which includes administering the Wellhead Protection Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey’s municipal water supply system uses groundwater as <br />its water source; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, t <br />he City of Ramsey is required to maintain a Wellhead Protection Plan and <br />to update it every ten years; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />Part 1 of the City of Ramsey’s Wellhead Protection Plan was amended and <br />approved by the MDH in January of 2019; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />Part 2 of the Wellhead Protection Plan was amended and a Public Hearing <br />was conducted on September 24, 2019, for the purpose of receiving public input. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1)The City Council hereby directs the City Engineer to revise the Wellhead Protection Plan <br />Part 2 Amendment as directed by the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />2)The City Council hereby directs the City Engineer to submit the revised Wellhead <br />Protection Plan Part 2 Amendment to the Minnesota Department of Health by October 6, <br />2019. <br /> <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Menth, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> Councilmember Heinrich <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />
