Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-223 <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION <br />ON NOVEMBER 5, 2019 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Special General Election on <br />Tuesday, November 5, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for <br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and <br />WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $10.00 for election judge trainees, $10.00 for <br />regular election judges and $11.00 for chairs. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the General <br />Election to be held on November 5, 2019: <br />Linda Anderson, Jerilyn Bates, Richard (Scott) Cords, Michele Elifrits, Andrea <br />Hellmann, Vicki Herrmann, Cyndi Lemmon, Madeline (Kay) McCulley, Patricia <br />McGrath, Diana Pennington, Alice Rasmussen and Al Resler. <br />2) That Council authorize staff to train and hire additional election judges not named here <br />should the need arise. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />
