Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-244 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT AND RESTATEMENT TO JOINT <br />POWERS AGREEMENT WITH NORTH METRO MAYORS ASSOCIATION <br />WHEREAS, in 2010, the City of Ramsey entered in to a Joint Power Agreement with <br />North Metro Mayors Association; and <br />WHEREAS, the general purpose of the agreement was to create an organization through <br />which the parties may jointly and cooperatively promote transportation and economic development <br />and to assist governmental units in providing government services and conducting government <br />functions effectively and efficiently; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement is in effect until dissolved; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has received an amendment restating the Joint Powers Agreement <br />and adding the City of Fridley to the coalition; and <br />WHEREAS, such amendment is being presented to the Ramsey City Council for approval. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The Ramsey City Council hereby approves the amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement <br />with North Metro Mayors Association, which amendment restates the Joint Powers <br />Agreement and adds the City of Fridley to the coalition. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />
