Upon approval of this <br />proposal, Bolton & Menk will work closely with the City and County staff to prepare a persuasive <br />funding application that meets the submittal requirements of the CRISI program. <br />Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) Transportation Grant <br />U.S. DOT has formally announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to apply for $244 million in <br />discretionary grand funding through the CRISI program. FY 2019 CRISI Transportation grants are for <br />investments in infrastructure for both intercity passenger and freight railroads and are to be awarded on a <br />competitive basis for projects that will have a significant local or regional impact. <br />The deadline for applications to be submitted online on October 18, 2019 by 5 p.m. For this round of <br />CRISI grants, there is no predetermined maximum grant award, and at least $63,750,000 million will be <br />made available to rural projects. <br />Selection criteria encompass safety, economic competitiveness, quality of life, state of good repair, <br />innovation and partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders. <br />Bolton & Menk will draft the CRISI Grant Application in partnership with the City and County.
