Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-258 <br />RESOLUTION HIRING SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br />WHEREAS, annually the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to <br />perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions of Public Works; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff selected one qualified seasonal candidates; and <br />WHEREAS, the candidate has passed the pre -employment screenings; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends hiring the 2019 Seasonal Public Works Maintenance <br />Worker. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #19-258 to hire the following employee on or near the dates <br />listed below: <br />Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Worker: Nathaniel Ostlund, effective on or near <br />October 14, 2019 at $11.00 per hour. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 22nd day of October, 2019. <br />Mayor <br />
