Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-255 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ENVIRONMENTAL <br />POLICY BOARD'S 2020 WORK PLAN <br />RECITALS <br />1. The primary objective of the Environmental Policy Board is to promote environmental <br />awareness and conservation practice by citizens by advising the City Council on policy <br />issues, review of new development proposals, communication and education; and <br />2. Through careful review, the Environmental Policy Board will present multiple <br />perspectives, ideas, and new technologies that promote both discovery and accountability; <br />and <br />3. The Environmental Policy Board is responsible for reviewing environmentally related city <br />policies and ordinances and recommend appropriate revisions and/or additions to City <br />Council; and <br />4. The Environmental Policy Board shall promote public outreach and education regarding <br />environmental issues facing the city; and <br />5. The Environmental Policy Board shall develop a work plan that is consistent with the <br />city's Strategic Plan and initiatives. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby approves the 2020 Work Plan for the <br />Environmental Policy Board. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 22nd day of October, 2019. <br />
