<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />October 24, 2019 <br />City Meetings <br /> <br />No meetings the week of October 28, 2019 <br /> <br />Council Update <br /> <br /> <br />November 5, 2019 Election: <br />Public Accuracy Test. <br /> The City conducted the Public Accuracy Testing (PAT) on Thursday, <br />October 24, 2019, at 11:00 am. The notice of the PAT was published and posted as required. <br />The purpose of the PAT is to test the vote counting equipment used in the upcoming election. <br /> <br />Absentee Voting <br />. Absentee voting for the Ward 3 Council seat and both school districts <br />continues to be available to Ramsey residents. Voting in-person absentee is open at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center or the Anoka County Government Center as follows: Monday <br />through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. City Hall will also be open for absentee voting on <br />Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and on Monday, November 4, 2019 <br />from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. <br /> <br />Absentee Direct Balloting <br />. Direct balloting for in-person absentee voting will began on <br />Tuesday, October 29. Direct balloting is Minnesota’s version of ‘early voting’. The absentee <br />voter marks his ballot and feeds it into the vote tabulator versus in the absentee envelope, which <br />is the process for the first 39 days of absentee voting. October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and, on Thursday, October <br />24, the City of Ramsey invites residents to participate in #PurpleThursday. Purple Thursday is a <br />reminder to victims and survivors of domestic violence that they are not alone. To participate, all <br />you have to do is wear purple to encourage conversation, remember those who have died due to <br />violence and celebrate survivors. Share photos of you and your family on social media with <br />#PurpleThursday, #AlexandraHouse, #DVAM2018, #MNSaysNoMore and #EndDV.
