Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 419-259 <br />RESOLUTION HIRING TEMPORARY ON -CALL SNOW PLOW DRIVERS <br />WHEREAS, annually the City employs Temporary On -call Snow Plow Drivers to provide <br />general maintenance of public streets, parking lots, and any other municipal related facilities and/or <br />equipment including snow plowing of public streets, trails, and walks, and <br />WHEREAS, Temporary On -call Snow Plow Drivers are not required to hold a <br />Commercial Driver's License as they are not driving a commercial vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff conducted the annual hiring processed selected qualified candidates to <br />fill the vacancies; and <br />WHEREAS, the candidates have passed the pre -employment screening process; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends hiring Mr. Gerald Byykkonen; Mr. Keith Noreen; Mr. <br />Thomas Pagel; Mr. Joshua Steck; and Mr. Thomas Petrich at $13.00 per hour, effective on October <br />24, 2019. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution 919-259 to hire the following: <br />Mr. Gerald Byykkonen; Mr. Keith Noreen; Mr. Thomas Page; Mr. Joshua Steck; and <br />Mr. Thomas Petrich at $13.00 per hours, effective on October 24, 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
