Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-265 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #19-06, RAMSEY TOWN CENTER 9TH ADDITION <br />POND LINING IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the two stormwater ponds constructed as part of Ramsey Town Center 9th <br />Addition were constructed without lining materials, allowing infiltration of stormwater runoff <br />into the underlying soils; and <br />WHEREAS, current stormwater management and wellhead protection standards prohibit <br />the infiltration of stormwater into Wellhead Protection Areas, which encompasses both ponds <br />within Ramsey Town Center 9th Addition; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer prepared final plans and specifications for constructing <br />pond lining improvements in both ponds to comply with current stormwater management <br />and wellhead protection standards; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 919-233, adopted <br />September 24, 2019, the City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized <br />advertisements for bids for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald and in Finance and <br />Commerce on October 4, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on October 30, 2019, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and <br />advertisements for bids; and <br />CONTRACTOR <br />TOTAL BID <br />JL Theis, Inc. <br />$105,152.00 <br />Sunram Construction, Inc. <br />$112,922.00 <br />Veit & Company, Inc. <br />$117,696.65 <br />Peterson Companies <br />$128,888.00 <br />US SiteWork <br />$131,933.00 <br />New Look Contracting, Inc. <br />$139,752.00 <br />Standard Contracting <br />$146,560.40 <br />Northland Excavating <br />$147,197.75 <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />$84, 371.24 <br />WHEREAS, the bid of JL Theis, Inc. of Jordan, Minnesota, in the amount of $105,152.00 for <br />the total bid for construction of the proposed improvements in accordance with the approved <br />RESOLUTION #19-233 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
