Norman, City Ad~iS~ator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In June 2004, the City Council' discussed ~th¢ NOrthstar Corridor project in a work session. <br />A rail station feasibility study ~ad been if°~i'm¢~ on the proposed Ramsey station by the <br />firm of Kimley-Horn & Assoct.altes; Ine, ~lnlAp~l 2004 and staff presented the findings of <br />the feasibility study. The North, tar Dey~lopme,nt Authority was not prepared to place the <br />Ramsey station on the mapa~ the C°~l :~ept the topic on the work session list of <br />topics to be considered at a later~date. <br /> <br />The recent considerations regar~ling the ,funding of the structured parking adjacent to the <br />proposed rail station Was discuSSed durin~g the!r~ecent trip to Washington D.C. One of the <br />difficulties with funding from:ithe :FCd0.,'ra! Trhnsit Administration is that the Ramsey <br />station is not on the Northstar Corridor map. :ffhe topic was discussed during the work <br />session of May 29, and it wasi res°lye4 that!me City of Ramsey would wait until the <br />bonding bill in the 2005 Legislative Sess~on Pa~sed. <br /> <br />Council is aware that the Confea~ence committe~ completed its work on Wednesday, May <br />30, and the Northstar CorridO~ ~r°Ject: i~ fullY!- funded at $37.5 million.
