WHEREAS, the homeowner has stated that they typically break down 10 units over a <br />period of 4 - 5 months as a retirement activity; and <br />WHEREAS, the homeowner has requested a 60 day extension for the home occupation <br />and outdoor storage violations; and <br />WHEREAS, the homeowner has requested an extension until spring 2019 for the off-street <br />parking violations; and <br />WHEREAS, the homeowner has stated that if he wishes to continue the home occupation <br />past the current inventory, he will apply for a home occupation permit; and <br />WHEREAS, there have been code enforcement cases on the Subject Property for outdoor <br />storage, home occupation, nuisance violations, and driveways since 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved the request this 8 h of January, 2019. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council approves the following related to the code enforcement case: <br />That all air conditioning units, scrap metal, and outdoor storage that does not meet City <br />Code requirements will be removed from the property within 60 days of the date of this <br />resolution. <br />b. That City Staff shall be allowed a full inspection of the property after January 12, 2019. <br />That the homeowner understands any subsequent violation within 12 months of this <br />date will include an administrative citation, starting at $250. <br />d. That there shall be no metal scrapping or storage of metal pieces onsite after 60 days <br />from the date of this letter. <br />That if the homeowner wants to continue the scrapping business, they must apply for, <br />and be granted, a Home Occupation Permit from the City Council. <br />f. That the monster truck in the rear yard, and any other motor vehicle parked on the grass <br />shall be removed by May 1, 2019. <br />g. That the homeowner understands that the Conditional Use Permit granted in 1999 was <br />for accessory structure size overage only, and does not, nor has ever, allowed for a <br />home occupation to take place. <br />h. There shall never be a commercial dumpster onsite unless related to an open building <br />permit on the subject property. <br />RESOLUTION #19-015 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
