On December 11, 2019, City Staff and Minnesota <br /> Department of Agriculture (MDA) staff confirmed an Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) infestation in <br /> Ramsey. Staff will be working with MDA staff to coordinate a public presentation about EAB to <br /> the Environmental Policy Board in the coming months and will also be working to 'ramp up' <br /> education for the public on signs/symptoms of EAB, management options, etc. For any further <br /> questions related to this, please contact City Planner Chris Anderson at 763-433-9817 or <br /> canderson@cityoframsey.com. <br /> Save the Date: <br /> • Toys for Joy, Granny's Closet & Hope for Youth Collection Sites at Ramsey City <br /> Hall. The City of Ramsey is hosting a collection site for Toys for Joy, Granny's Closet of <br /> Anoka County and Hope for Youth this holiday season! Each year hundreds of community <br /> volunteers from these programs help to being holiday cheer to Anoka County families and <br /> seniors in need. If you would like to contribute a new toy, book, clothing or food item, a <br /> drop-off box for these organizations can be found in the lobby of Ramsey City Hall during <br /> our regular business hours. <br /> • Ride the Northstar Holiday Train to Union Depot for Free! On Saturday, December <br /> 21, take the Northstar Holiday Train starting at the Big Lake Station all the way to Union <br /> Depot in St. Paul where you can enjoy the outdoor European Christmas Market for two <br /> hours of shopping, food and seasonal entertainment for the whole family! The FREE <br /> Holiday Train will leave the Ramsey station at 2:56 pm and the return trip leaves the Union <br /> Depot promptly at 6:00 pm.
