<br />Councilmember Menth introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #19-283 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CASH DONATIONS OF $5,000 FROM 1-800-BOARDUP <br />TO BE APPLIED TOWARD THE RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />MN State Statute 465.03 requires that a city pass a resolution that accepts <br />any donations or grants and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, two-thirds majority of the council members must adopt said resolution to <br />formally accept donation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey has received cash donations from 1-800-BOARDUP in <br /> <br />the amount of $5,000. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby accepts donations made by 1-800-BOARDUP in the <br />amount of $5,000. <br /> <br />2) The donation shall be applied to firefighter health and safety and/or fire related public <br />education funds. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Heinrich, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> Councilmember Heinrich <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
