Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #19-295 RESOLUTION HIRING TEMPORARY ICE RINK ATTENDANTS WHEREAS, annually the City employs Temporary Rink Attendants to supervise and perform various tasks at Central Park and Ramsey Elementary School ice rinks, warming houses and grounds for approximately 10 weeks; and WHEREAS, staff recruited for, interviewed, and selected qualified candidates; and WHEREAS, the candidates have passed the pre-employment screening process; and WHEREAS, staff recommends hiring Mr. Jack Hoekman, Ms. Liz Witter, Ms. Hailey Petersen, Mr. Jacob Marcoux, Ms. Cathryn Weishair, Mr. Drew Nelson, Ms. Marina Mosneguta and Mr. Dakotah Corbin as Temporary Ice Rink Attendants, all within the Rink Attendant pay scale which is $10.00 to $10.25 per hour; effective on or near December 11, 2019. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: Motion to adopt resolution #19-295 to do the following: 1)Hire Mr. Jack Hoekman, Ms. Liz Witter, Ms. Hailey Petersen, Mr. Jacob Marcoux, Ms. Cathryn Weishair, Mr. Drew Nelson, Ms. Marina Mosneguta and Mr. Dakotah Corbin all within the Rink Attendant pay scale which is $10.00 to $10.25 per hour; effective on or near December 11, 2019. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor LeTourneau Councilmember Riley Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Heinrich Councilmember Menth Councilmember Musgrove Councilmember Specht and the following voted against the same: None
